About history
Geography Department was born with the establishment of Pakokku Regional Collage in 1977-78 Academic Year. Thus, it is one of the oldest department in Pakokku University.
OUR VISION
To lead the development of academic, educational, and research directions of human RESOURCES BASED ON geographic INFORMATION to answer fundamental questions of REGIONAL importance.
OUR MISSION
To upgrade the current national educational standard into international level and to reform educational, moral, political, social and economic, personal perspective, attitude, knowledge and skill for all citizens in the Central Myanmar.
OUR GOAL
-To upgrade students capacity to international level.
-To enable students to become geographically informed through knowledge and mastery of factual knowledge, maps and tools and ways of thinking.
–To train students to become outstanding leaders for the future development of the country.

1. A Geographical Analysis on concentration of pulses crops in Pakokku Township (2014-15).

The departmental library was established in 1981. At the period of establishment, there were totally 15 books for references. One year after one, when the books were fulfilled with the needs of teaching, the totally now books are 398.
